If you’re a teenager, you probably expect that you’ll get acne — and you’ll almost certainly be right, since about 85% of all teens experience pimples each year. But if you’re older, especially if you’re in your mid 20’s, an acne breakout probably seems unfair. That’s what happened to me.
When I was a teenager, acne was never a problem. I am the typical lazy teenager that does only the soap-water beauty regimen but still never gets any breakout. My brother on the other half was the opposite. He has breakouts all over his face. I remember one time, my Aunt who went home from Canada started buying him acne solutions. She said there’s this well endorsed brand in Canada that guarantees to clear acnes.
So here is the brand and its products.
PROACTIV. Apparently, my brother was too lazy to use them. And in hopes of having better skin, I used them. Remember I told you my skin was ok? Well after using this, my skin wasn’t. And for the record, this is still what I blame up to this date, why my skin was so different compared to before. And to cut the story short, this started my breakouts.
You have no idea how stressful it is be noticed by your friends, officemates, and relatives with your pimples. Like, “what happened to your face?”, “ang dami mong pimples.” It’s kind of irritating.
I started going to facial salons and trying out different over-the-counter creams. Name it, I think I’ve tried it.
I had my first facial experience with Let’s Face It.
Back then, I didn’t have the beauty know-how or the rigid skincare routine I do now, so my first facial encounter wasn’t too pleasant. You see, I had a little bit of acne — just a little bit. I left disappointed with my experience, afraid of the painful extractions and wondering whether I’d ever achieve glowing skin again.
And since I never came back with Let’s Face It, I have to try my luck with other facial salons. So my next target was, Flawless. Pangalan pa lang, parang gaganda na ko ulit.
If my memory serves me right, what I’ve tried here was their Acne Control Facial. Having to try this made me conclude that all facials must be really painful. Because it was. After the physical discomfort (since there are no individual rooms or dividers, all beds are beside one another), what adds to the pain is the anxious time waiting for the redness to subside and some pricks to heal. And aside from the redness and the pain, what I didn’t like more was the hard selling. Too much up-selling. I know this is part of their job, I just hope they don’t offer every single item on the shelf.
Montage Skin Science. Since I started with a new job in the nearby province, I have to search for another facial clinic. This is what I found. They went one time at the office and offered coupons. Since I got this under promo, it wasn’t really that expensive. And the service? Waley. As in waley talaga. I shouldn’t even go here. (Gaaah.)
And so I was back in the search. This time I went to YSA Skin and Body Experts.
Apparently at this time, I was really traumatized with facials. Seriously. So I didn’t undergo facial services, I just bought some acne kit that included soap, toner, night cream, and sunblock. I was not quite sure if I continued using this kit since I can’t really remember the effect. Haha. Sorry. J
After all of these, I grew tired and decided to stop and give my face a break. I also thought that all these pricking stuff weren’t doing any good to my face. So I just stopped and never went back to any of these facial clinics.
After a long while of not having facial, a good friend of mine, Syril of Care to Bare Vanity Services, invited me to try their Aqua Peel.
She introduced Aqua Peel as a new kind of facial treatment that integrates vacuum extraction, exfoliation, hydration, and iontophoresis in one non-invasive therapy. It is the latest skin treatment providing non-invasive exfoliation as well as delivery of topical solutions to cleanse, exfoliate, extract, and hydrate the skin safely and painlessly.
I thankfully agreed and gave it a shot. So last Saturday, I was given the chance to try it. I was given the chance to have tested this at Care to Bare Vanity Services at Marquee Mall.
What does it do?
- Cleanse – It uses a suction mechanism throughout the procedure that deeply cleanses the skin removing dead skin cells.
- Peel – Non irritating peel provides great results by loosening dirt and debris from pores.
- Extract – Draws out impurities from clogged pores much more efficiently than manual extractions. No pricking involved.
- Hydrate – Depending on what issues you’re trying to address, special blends of treatment serums and masks are infused into the skin.
What I like about it?
- Painless, soothing treatment – No pricking, no redness.
- No Downtime – allows an immediate return to normal activities.
- Eliminates the risk and health concerns of aluminum-based crystals associated with particulate abrasion.
- Visible results after first treatment.
Need I say more? I’ve been reading a lot of blogs lately and one of the most buzzed about treatments in the past few months has been the Aqua Peel. You’ll often hear Korean Celebrities having this treatment done.
Here are some…
Oftentimes, when a treatment is trendy, it’s always a valid question if it’s truly a beneficial thing. Whether something is popular or not, a real life patient needs to know if it really works. When it comes to Aqua Peel, I can honestly say that its worth all the hype.
Here are some actual before and after pictures:
Who is it suitable for?
Basically, it suits everyone. Because there is no downtime and it is a non-invasive procedure, you don’t have to worry about any complications.
If you have any of the following, then this is for you as well.
- Acne Problems
- Dull Skin
- Fine lines
- Sensitive Skin
Aqua Peel effectively treats all skin types and addresses a wide range of dermatological conditions including hyper-pigmentation, acne, dehydrations, congestion, blackheads, and fine line wrinkles. Depending on your skin condition, there will be a selection of topical solutions catered to your needs.
This kind of facial is very relaxing and good, no uncomfortable moments in the process, and is sure very much worth it up to the very end. This is so far different from the usual facial. I like it, really, really liked it. And I would love to come back for another treatment. Daig ko pa nagpa-Belo. I’ve heard this one can actually be compared to Belo’s Hydrafacial. But well, more affordable but take note: of higher quality. This is Korean baby, KOREAN!!!!! Who among us doesn’t adore the flawless, radiant skin Korean women posses? NO ONE.
So all of you guys who wants that Korean glow, try AQUA PEEL. That pore-less smooth skin is now within reach. Try it at Care to Bare Vanity Services. This is not your average facial, this is AQUA PEEL.
